Scott Telford Contracting Ltd is based at Floors Farm in Stonehaven, and the teamwork hard to cover a 40-mile radius of Stonehaven itself. However, we are very open to travelling further to bring in new customers.

Our old combine machinery used to be 15ft, and we had 4 of them. Now, we have two harvesters which are 30ft and 35ft. We also operate a 270 horsepower tractor.

The main brands of machinery that we use are New Holland and Case, as they are local companies who are extremely helpful and really look after us.

We aim to change our tractors ever 5 or 6 years, which adds up to around 1500 hours of work per year. The older tractors that have done more than 10,000 hours of work are then used for lighter agricultural work.

During the cold winter months, we do carry out maintenance work, including gritting and snow clearing, which we start at 3 am! We do have to broaden our services in the winter to keep our business going, finding new work to do with our machinery.

Yes, we provide grass seeding in the summer months, reseeding golf courses, and other landscaping services. Providing services such as this help to widen our company and our customers.

Scott Telford Contracting Ltd also provides a drainage service on golf courses and other land and fields. This has become one of the main jobs carried out by our company as it is in such high demand.
